How to choose the best treadmill for you
Choosing the best treadmill can be a little difficult, but if you know what to look for, that’s half the battle. First, what is your budget? And how much space do you have to house the machine? You should also think about noise levels, especially if you live in shared accommodation or have close neighbors.
When choosing a treadmill, look for a motor with a minimum power (HP) of 1.5. If you’re a regular runner, opt for 2.5-3.0 HP – the same as a gym-quality machine. Heavier people will also need a more powerful engine.
Look for a treadmill that’s at least 48″ by 18″ long if you like to run, and if you’re taller than 6 feet, you’ll need at least 52 inches for walking and 54″ for running.
